Thornton Hill, Exeter

Thornton Hill is a very sought after residential road in the heart of Exeter, close to the university and the city centre. It boasts beautiful Victorian terraces, which are spacious and grand.

The Project

The clients wanted to increase the floor space of their period 3-storey terraced house by adding a small extension to the back. The existing tenement and kitchen were rearranged to form a new utility room, a cloak room, a boiler room and a snug. The works involved removing an existing conservatory and part of the tenement, thus creating a light filled open plan kitchen and dining area.

The extension was designed by Living Space Architects to a modern specification with a sloping roof and aluminium bi-folding doors and windows.
